Here's a baby raccoon that Kelin found in the gutter outside of our house. She's been feeding it and keeping it warm for the last 24 hours. Once in a while she puts him (tiny raccoon balls) out in the backyard and lets it squawk in the hopes that its mom will come and get him. Suggestions? So far we've called Hoogle Zoo and a veterinarian. I suppose animal control is next. It's tempting to make him a pet, but I hear they get mean as they age. Cute little guy. Opposable thumbs!

Seriously, animal control is probably your best bet, unless you can track down some sort of non-profit "return it to nature" group that will take care of it and then release it. :::shrugs::: Not a situation I've ever been confronted with.
